Take / Opening Titles

Take, a film starring Jeremy Renner and Minnie Driver, explores the lives of a death row convict and the woman whose life he affected so deeply. Charles Oliver, writer and director of the film, was looking for titles that would hint at how lives can be destroyed through desperate, ill-conceived actions. Rain’s titles illustrate the hollow ache and emotional decay that surround all parties involved in capital punishment.
